It is a myth that artists 'see things differently'. They represent things differently according to their limitations and preferred styles.
It is a myth that artists 'hold a mirror up to the world'. They paint what's already in the mirror according to their limitations and preferred styles.
It is a myth that artists are artists. They do what they do according to their limitations and preferred styles.
It is a myth that one is born an artist. Being an artist is a decision one makes. Like deciding to become a Conservative.
A good artist will strive to remain an amateur artist.

There are no mistakes in art; only mistakes in business.
Everything comes from nothing. So give yourself some credit.
